Values and Beliefs
The Georgia Southwestern State University Early Childhood Development Center believes that all children should be respected and valued.  This includes:

    • an inclusive setting for all children
    • a play oriented, child-centered environment
    • a developmentally appropriate curriculum
    • implementation of best practices
    • employing caring and competent professional

Additionally, we believe

    • children must be actively involved in the learning process
    • children should be encouraged to demonstrate their individual creative characteristics
    • children should be involved in experiences leading to independence, making choices, and discovering learning
    • the differences, as well as similarities of individuals should be experienced and celebrated
