 Operating hours are from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The school year is 180 days in length. The calendar is a modified version, incorporating elements of the GSW calendar and public school calendars. Transportation: It is the families responsibility to arrange transportation for children who attend the Center. Children may be dropped off between 7:50 am and 8:00 am. Pick-up is between 2:30 pm and 2:40 pm. Snack and Lunch: Children bring both snack and lunch each day. The Center provides a refrigerator and a microwave oven. Teachers will heat food that needs to be served warm. The program is staffed by competent Early Childhood professionals. The lead teacher in each classroom holds an Early Childhood Education teaching certificate from the State of Georgia, and the assistant teachers are both trained and experienced in working with preschool children. All teachers participate in ongoing professional development to ensure up-to-date knowledge and skills to support their continuing professional development. In addition to the teachers, the program is directed by a full-time member of the Early Childhood Education faculty in the School of Education at GSW:

The Early Childhood Development Center is currently accepting applicants for the waiting list only for the 2008-2009 school year. State guidelines now mandate that we may no longer accept children who turn four years of age after the cut off date of September 1st, but before December 31st.
