EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT CENTER

Mission
The Georgia Southwestern State University Early Childhood Development Center  Program is committed to providing an inclusive pre-kindergarten educational program incorporating group and individualized instruction.  The program provides developmentally appropriate experiences for all children in a caring community of learning.

Program Overview

The Georgia Southwestern State University Early Childhood Development Center Program has been established upon the belief that all children have a fundamental right to learn and grow in ways that support their positive growth and development.  The program is located in the University's community setting and incorporates best practices in early childhood education.

The GSW Center operates as a training setting for university students preparing for a variety of community service careers.  Students from university programs will be integrally involved in observation and participation activities within the Center.  The Center is an important resource for degree programs which utilize extensive field work.
