EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT CENTER
FAQ -- Frequently Asked Questions

Q.  What are the ages of children served by the Center?
A.  The ECD Center currently serves four-year-olds in a Georgia Pre-Kindergarten Program. The program is grant funded through the GA Office of Early Care and Learning at no cost to participating families.

Q.  Do the parents have to be employed at Georgia Southwestern or enrolled as a student?
A.  No; however, priority is given to employees and students.  Other spaces in the program are filled via a waiting list, and also during an open enrollment period in February of the entrance year. The open enrollment time is advertised in advance in the community through a variety of means.

Q.  How do I place my child on the waiting list?
A.  Applications may be submitted prior to or during the enrollment period for the current school year as well as upcoming school years. All applications are dated when received, and spots are filled on a first come, first serve basis.

Q.  What are your teachers qualifications?
A.  Our lead-teachers hold valid and current teaching certificates in Early Childhood Education from the State of Georgia.
