EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT CENTER

Curriculum
The curriculum at the Early Childhood Development Center is based on developmentally appropriate practices.  The High/Scope Approach approved by the Georgia Department of Early Care Learning, has been adopted. The High/Scope model organizes children's learning around the concept of "plan, do, review." This enables children to develop decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.  All developmental areas are integrated throughout this curriculum.  Activities facilitate gross motor, fine motor, language, social, and cognitive skills.  Within the program, learning objectives in the following areas are addressed:
      • Language & Literacy
      • Mathematics
      • Science
      • Social Studies
      • Creative Expression
      • Social & Emotional Development
      • Physical Development
